Favourite quote:
“If you could get all the people in the organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time." - Patrick Lencioni

Tell us a bit about your background
I studied Business in the University of Limerick with aspirations of a career in accounting and finance. When I left collage, I started working with a small Irish SME in a Sales and Marketing role and haven’t looked back.

What do you do at Titan?
I lead the charge in realising our growth ambitions for Titan’s Life sciences division, specifically in the area of diagnostic test / medical kitting fulfilment and distribution and help to execute the associated strategy. I work towards building relationships with customers to better understand their needs and as a result, help them to scale for growth.

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?
Creator of Opportunities

What’s your favourite thing about your job
One of my favourite things about my job is that I help to solve customer challenges, building solutions and watching them come to fruition.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?
I love that I get to work closely with customers to build a customised solution and then see it all come together with flawless execution. It is very satisfying to deliver on a project and exceed customer expectations.

What was your favourite subject in school, and why?
I really loved Irish and still do today thanks to a fantastic teacher I had throughout school. He really helped to instil the culture, heritage, and beauty of the Irish language. A goal of mine is to eventually become fluent.

What are the values that drive you?
Honesty, integrity, and credibility. I truly value being open and honest in everything I do both professionally and personally.

Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

I like to stay up to date with current affairs and can be found with headphones in listening to the news any chance I get. I also enjoy listening to a wide variety of podcasts, from Politics, current affairs, comedy, sport and documentaries.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
The best piece of advice I ever received was from dad, Anthony O’Connell. He worked on the lifeboat growing up on Valentia Island and he stressed the importance of being able to trust any member of the crew implicitly. He always used to say that when you went out on a call out, particularly a on a bad night or a difficult rescue, you needed to know that you could trust those around you to have your back so you could do your job to the best of your ability. It is something that has always stuck with me, and I believe is applicable no matter your profession.

What is your favourite food?
Bacon & cabbage is a firm favourite, but I won’t say no to Italian and a nice glass of red

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love going to Valentia Island in Kerry, where I spend a lot of time on the water and with my family.
